Back to the Bactine...

Which all brings us to this part of the story...

First, Billy and CarrieBearie posing at a viewpoint.

The kittehs are having a great day. Wendy's drive-through. Snow play. Who knew what lay ahead...

Are these Quaker Kids Gone Wild??

A car-full of critters, so serene, so satisfied...
But wait.
As we headed back to the main road, it happened. Scratty's paw got rolled up in my window!!! (we think Tractor did it - he was on Bill's side, next to the driver's window controls. And, as has been suggested, it would be just like a brother to do such a thing!!!) Poor little Scratty absolutely freaked out (as would any of us!)! We got the window rolled back down but not before she had expressed her anal glands and chewed up my finger (my bad - I made the mistake of trying to calm her by holding her. That's why the warning to not just approach animals that are in a lot of pain or terribly frightened - they simply lash out without thinking). Fortunately, there was apparently no damage to her paw - she never showed a limp or anything at all!
On the way back home, we stopped in Hatch (chile capitol) and bought some Bactine at the Subway/Market we'd visited earlier on the T or C day. We flushed my owies with it and went home. What a day. Again. At least there was some good stuff on this day, in between the disappointing and traumatic stuff...
To be continued...in Carlsbad, NM.
