To Lakeland...

From Rainbow Springs, we moved to Sanlan RV Park in Lakeland, for more visiting! But first, before I introduce you to more of our good friends, I want to share the journey there and our scenic campground.
Remember how I told you about the horsiness back at the other place? Well...

And don't you love those moss-covered trees? I do!!!!!!

Want a watermelon?

The best way to get oriented with our new home base? Well, a ride, of course!

One of the best parts of this campground (other than the proximity to our friends' place) was all the wildlife! They had several lakes, full of my favorites, and as you see here, also sandhill cranes! Now, these two are doing quite the dance. And if you look just behind them in the water, you might see why they are prancing. But then again, there are two of them - maybe it's just some courtship...? We can't just have baby flamingoes taking over the planet now, can we? We need balance! Baby sandhills would be good too! And I suppose that's what that gator is thinking also,..."mmm, baby sandhills, yum!"

I loved watching these two! What a treat to see such a display - whatever it was about!

Here you can see they are obviously aware of each other...!

The RV park also had paths/sandy roads you could walk/bike. It was a little challenging, because the bike tires would bog down in the sand about every 5 yards or so! But I got to see this adorable little guy and help him off the road. He was, let's see, maybe an inch long?

It's amazing that any of them survive! And yet there are turtles everywhere, so...!

And a cormorant.
Pretty nice campground, yes?!
