North to Waterford, PA

On June 29th, we traveled north a bit to stay at the Sparrow Pond RV Park, enroute to Niagara Falls. This park got pretty high ratings, and it did turn out to be a nice, sort of hidden, local secret.

And Sparrow Pond does have a pond! But funny - I didn't see any sparrows, just this snake thing in the water! Still not sure what that snake was about. Swimming wasn't allowed in the pond, so maybe the snake was to ensure that - or to keep the sparrows away?!

Scratty stops to appreciate a fellow RVers sentiments.

Back in the RV, Scratty makes herself at home...in one of Bill's work equipment drawers...

And Track helps with the net...

But a laptop isn't enough to keep him occupied for long, and soon he is inventing new games - like Kleenex Box. Can't remember if I've already mentioned this one or not, but our boy isn't quite right. Actually he just has a hell of a lot more creativity, personality, and innovativeness than most cat boys his age! So, one night Bill and I are both messing on our computers when I feel this bump on my leg. I look down, and here's our orange cat with one of those squarish Kleenex boxes on his head, paws out in front of him, feeling his way around. We watched him investigate the RV within this whole new context/perspective he'd made for himself - as a blind man! Talk about learning to entertain oneself! Since then, we've seen him jam on several empty and partially empty Kleenex boxes, sometimes going crazy, standing up on hind legs feeling for higher ground and jumping up on things, other times just laying on the floor somewhere. Mostly he seems to like to jump onto the couth and hang out with his Ouraydog (photos later!). What a guy!

But then there are other times, when you just want to hide away, squish up on some maps behind the monitor, and catch a few winks. Imitating blind is tiring, after all.

Upstairs, downstairs. Just like the BBC saga...
