A good day to stay in...

While the temps dropped, the rain/ice fell, and the winds raged, we managed to stay nice and toasty inside on Mon., Dec. 7th. We had stocked up on firewood and kindling and were able to keep our wood-burning stove fed pretty much continuously since Friday, our trusty little propane heater again serving as dependable supplement. And while our renters apparently had their power go out for 8 hours, we simply turned on our generator when our power panel let us know we were running low. Did some cooking, some reading, some emailing, and some movie-watching. Pretty nice day!

But outside? Well, records were matched or broken for rainfall and winds all over the place! Ponds filled. Trees fell. And people crashed - it was a good day not to have to be on the roads. It was a good day to stay in...
and be in a cozy yurt.
